Weekly Invitation April 28

Dear Friends,
What a week of weather it has been!  Isn’t it great to live in New England…hate the weather, wait 2 minutes, and there’s something new.  I love the unexpected thunderstorms, the boom of thunder seemingly out of nowhere, the flash of lightning and then the sun breaking through the clouds, a glimpse of a rainbow.  God’s glorious surprises for us.

This week, we hear to the story of Jesus surprising his disciples by appearing to them, after his death.  It’s the story of Thomas, wanting to see his hands, touch the wounds.  It’s the story of Jesus offering, not a strategy for world domination, but peace.  God’s glorious surprises for us.

This Sunday, we’re worshiping bi-locationally.  Some of us will be worshiping at 191 Montcalm St, and some of us will be worshiping at Camp Aldersgate, in Rhode Island.  Wherever you are, I trust the Spirit will be moving in surprising ways!

I’ll see you on Sunday,

Pastor Heather
